Kayla Patterson is the Owner and Lead Counsel of The HAVEN Firm, LLC, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered representation in domestic relations matters. Based in Northwest Alabama, Kayla has built her practice around guiding individuals and families through divorce, custody, child support, DHR defense, and adoption matters with empathy, integrity, and strength.

At this time, The HAVEN Firm, LLC focuses exclusively on domestic relations. As Kayla completes additional training and continuing legal education requirements, the firm plans to expand its services to include immigration representation in the future.

Kayla earned her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law in 2022 and her Bachelor’s degree from Kaplan University. With more than a decade of experience in the legal field—including eight years as a paralegal and over two years as a practicing attorney—Kayla brings both deep practical knowledge and a personal understanding of how legal issues affect her clients’ lives.

Her practice is firmly rooted in family law, where she has extensive experience navigating complex and emotionally sensitive matters. Known for her compassionate yet determined approach, Kayla believes that strength does not require hostility. Every client deserves to feel heard, supported, and protected.
